.tel Story of Nikolay Mikilchak

My name is Nikolay, I'm from Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine, and have a business repairing and selling used steel large-diameter pipes. I've been in this business for 10 years and my team covers the whole range of pipe restoration services, including removal of old isolation, bends and edges, sand blasting and pipe bending. After that, the pipes are ready to be used again.

We live in the age of information where a website is indispensable. Nickolay.tel is my main brand and contact hub, but we also have websites zakupkatrub.narod2.ru and iguana.far.ru with detailed descriptive information, price lists and photos of our products. We link to those sites from nickolay.tel.

I heard about .tel by chance when researching various Internet services and solutions. I saw the .tel video advert, got interested, and created my own business-card type .tel page.

Nickolay.tel can be used in different ways – as a central place for all the ways to contact me, for my friends, clients and partners; as the contact info in adverts and promotions; as an email and SMS signature; as a business card you can give away, see and hear. Nickolay.tel makes it simpler to stay in touch with existing clients and find new ones. No traditional business card can stay up-to-date for long as phone numbers change or get lost, while on your .tel, you always have up-to-date information. This is useful.
I keep the title of my .tel page as "nickolay.tel" as this is my official brand. I promote it every possible way because advertising nickolay.tel helps promote my business.

I use my .tel page in all advertising materials, as the company name on official papers, on business cards and stationery, as well as on product stickers, transport and employees' uniforms. My phone's ringtone sings "Nickolay.tel" and we have a flag with it on the premises.

In future, I'm planning to add other product lines and services, and nickolay.tel will be used as the brand name for those as well. The hierarchical folder structure makes it easy to add and present new information about different lines of business.

I've created a folder "Dnepropetrovsk city phonebook" to store all the useful numbers in one place, not dependent on my current mobile handset. This phonebook is accessible from any device, uses up very little traffic, and enables click-to-call for any number you need. Again, you can maintain and expand this phonebook as you need.

My business has lots of clients in other cities, and they find our little phonebook indispensable when visiting us – and have to visit our .tel page for any local phone numbers they need. These days, my friends, partners and clients use this phonebook as a printed directory is not always available, and you can't have those Yellow Pages for every city you travel to.

When asked about .tel, I simply say that it's a domain for storing contact information that can be updated in real time and is accessible from any mobile device or computer. For me, .tel is comprehensive contact information that's always "at hand".
